Kalikan est une application permettent d’accéder à des produits bancaires sans les contraintes des banques traditionnels et accessibles à tous. Basé sur le modèle de tontines, l’application est disponible aujourd’hui en Côte d’Ivoire et en France. Le projet veut favoriser une finance plus solidaire, simple et sécurisée via la mise en place de cagnottes rotatives soumises à aucune contrainte bancaire (ni taux d’intérêt, ni frais de dossier, ni garantis), ainsi qu’à améliorer le taux de bancarisation et l’accès au crédit.
Leur beau projet a bien avancé puisque l’application est déjà sortie et est téléchargeable !
Le fondateur :
Originaire de Côte d'Ivoire, Ibrahima Touré a été très tôt plongé dans le monde de l'entreprenariat. Touché par l’histoire de sa mère qui a toujours subit une certaine exclusion financière, les banques jugeant son profil à risque, il s’est promis de réparer cette injustice à son égard et à l'égard de toutes les personnes dans la même situation. En 2017, il quitte sa famille pour la France et rentre à l’école 42, où il rencontre Nessim Rahmoun avec qui il se lie d’amitié. Ensemble, ils décident de collaborer pour monter un projet à impact social, et de là est né la startup Kalikan.
Ensuring equal access to financing solutions
Kalikan is an application that provides access to a range of banking products without any of the restrictions imposed by traditional banks and financing institutions. Currently available in Côte d’Ivoire and France, the application is based on a system often seen in North Africa called “tontines”. The project aims to promote a simpler and more secure form of solidarity-based finance by setting up revolving kitty funds that are not constrained by banking rules (no interest rate, no fees, no guarantees). The application also seeks to improve the banking rate and access to credit.

Founder: A native of Côte d'Ivoire, Ibrahima Touré chose his entrepreneurial path at an early age. Deeply affected by his mother’s experience of financial exclusion - banks deemed her profile too risky - he set out to repair this injustice for her and for everyone suffering from the same situation. In 2017, he left his family behind to go to France and attend the coding school “42”, where he met Nessim Rahmoun. Together, they decided to collaborate to launch a social impact project, and from this was born the startup Kalikan.
